Chimichurri Chicken Burgers - Argentinian-Inspired Chicken Burgers

here is a recipe for Chimichurri Chicken Burgers:

Ingredients:

  • For the chimichurri sauce:
    • 1/2 cup olive oil
    • 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
    • 1 cup flat-leaf parsley, finely chopped
    • 1/4 cup cilantro, finely chopped
    • 3 cloves garlic, minced
    • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
    • 1/4 teaspoon salt
    • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • For the burgers:
    • 1 pound ground chicken
    • 1/4 cup chimichurri sauce
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
    • 4 burger buns, toasted
    • Your favorite burger toppings

Instructions:

  1. Make the chimichurri sauce by combining all of the ingredients in a food processor or blender. Pulse until smooth.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, 1/4 cup of the chimichurri sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Form the chicken mixture into 4 equal-sized patties.
  4. Heat a large skillet or grill over medium heat. Cook the burgers for 4-5 minutes per side, or until cooked through.
  5. Top the burgers with your favorite toppings and serve on toasted buns.

Tips:

  • For a more authentic Argentinian flavor, use a combination of ground beef and ground lamb for the burgers.
  • If you don't have a food processor or blender, you can chop the herbs and garlic by hand. Just be sure to chop them very finely so that they blend well into the sauce.
  • You can also add other ingredients to the chimichurri sauce, such as red onion, green bell pepper, or oregano.
  • Serve the burgers with your favorite sides, such as french fries, sweet potato fries, or a salad.

Enjoy!
